About Benny

Benny is a handsome, long-legged fellow with a big heart and an even bigger story. His journey is one of survival. He came from a colony of more than 40 cats, where he had been living on the streets with a large wound on his leg. During the medical process, Benny was held back from being returned to the colony because he had developed what could have been a life-threatening. While receiving medical care, Benny showed his foster family a sweet, trusting side that made it clear he was not truly feral. Because Benny is FIV positive, his immune system doesn't fight infections quite as strongly as a cat without FIV, so his leg has taken a little extra time to heal. But after lots of patience, care, and TLC, Benny is finally ready to find the forever home he deserves. This handsome boy would do best in a quiet, peaceful home, since that is the environment he has become accustomed to. He also gets along wonderfully with other cats. Despite being FIV positive, Benny can happily live with other friendly cats. When Benny is ready for affection, he will happily stretch out beside you and soak up all the love you are willing to give. And if he is especially happy, don't be surprised if he starts to drool - it is one of his adorable ways of showing just how much he is enjoying himself! He does have one quirky little habit: sometimes his love gets expressed through a gentle love bite. If you tell him 'no,' he listens and stops. He has never harmed his foster family, and his foster has learned his cues and how to redirect him. After everything Benny has been through, this long-legged, handsome boy deserves a home where he can finally relax, feel safe, and be loved for the sweet cat he has become.
