About Jaylan

Meet Jaylan! Jaylan is an adorable 5 year old mini Poodle who is simply a small bundle of love at 10 pounds. His previous owner is an army veteran who loved him very much. But unfortunately she fell on hard times and is unable to care for him so he's looking for a new family to love. Despite the loss of his home, Jaylan remains sweet and affectionate and just wants to spend time with his people. His favorite activities include cuddling on the couch or in bed and running around playing in the yard. He is a very affectionate dog and is learning to adapt to change pretty quickly. All he wants is a warm home with people who will care for him forever. Jaylan is non-shedding, walks well on a leash and is house trained as long as he is kept on a schedule. And did we mention his good looks?! We've added a before picture so you can see his curls. He needed to be groomed a little short, but you can imagine what this handsome man will look like when those curls grow back! Jaylan would do best in a home with another dog or someone who is home most of the time since he does have some anxiety. Can't blame him�'�|this poor guy has been through a lot of change. If you're looking for a small and extremely affectionate dog, and you have the patience to allow him to settle in- Jaylan just might be the dog for you. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources.
