We are looking to find the right home for our 11-month-old female Belgian Malinois. This is a very difficult decision because she is a wonderful dog, but she is a breed that truly needs a job, structure, exercise, training, and a lot of one-on-one attention. Unfortunately, we are not able to give her the time and attention she requires and deserves. She is incredibly smart, eager to learn, and already knows multiple German commands. She is a fun, energetic, affectionate dog who would thrive with someone who understands the Belgian Malinois breed and can give her the mental and physical stimulation she needs. She has been great with our 8-year-old daughter and her friends, and she gets along with our other dogs. She can, however, play a little too rough with smaller dogs, so a home with larger, confident dogs-or as the only dog-may be the better fit. A few important things to know: She is 11 months old and has not been spayed. She has an umbilical hernia. Our veterinarian has advised that it should be an easy repair when she is spayed. She is very intelligent and knows multiple German commands. She needs an active home that can provide consistent training, exercise, structure, and a 'job.' We want to be completely transparent about her needs because finding the right home is much more important to us than simply finding her a new home. We are hoping to find someone experienced with Malinois or working breeds who understands how much time, commitment, and engagement they require. We want her to go somewhere she can truly thrive and become the amazing dog we know she can be. Serious inquiries only, please.
