About Bixby

We are rehoming a very sweet 9 month old German Sheppard puppy. He is a very smart, snuggly boy. The shelter we adopted him from separated him from his brother at 8 months and because of that, he has some separation anxiety. It is getting better by the day but my partner and I both work outside of the house which makes the consistent training that is needed difficult and we don't want to make anything worse. He is timid on walks as he gets over stimulated by the world, but, again, he is getting more confident each day. He loves to play fetch, has never met a squeak toy he doesn't love, and really just wants to be where his people are. He will be your best friend for life. He has enjoyed every dog interaction we've had with him. And, we strongly believe he would love to be in a home with another dog, preferably an older dog who can really show him the way of the world! He will also do best with someone who works from home and can consistently be with him for the next few weeks. We have started crate training and it is going well! This would be an excellent thing to continue, especially as he continues to learn there are spaces that are safe for him. He has quickly been learning his commands and is decently treat-motivated. We would love to send you home with his crate, all of his toys, a big bag of food, treats, and a dog bed. This has been an incredibly difficult decision. We love him dearly. We just want him to be in a home where all of his needs can be met so he can have the life he so deserves.
