About Gypsy Rose

Gypsy was offered to us as a rescue from a hoarding situation. We have had her for almost 3 yrs. She was standoffish at first, but showed no aggression. Shortly after her 4th birthday last Nov., she began to show aggression to my wife when she got up at night. At first a small amount of growling. My wife is disabled, possibly why?? The aggression has grown steadily worse, including lunging and snapping. She has only shown aggression to me once. Can a dog have PTSD? It seems as though she is unaware of where she is or who is with her when she is aggressive. My health is declining to the point that I can no longer give her the exercise she needs. We would just like to see her go to a home with a human or humans who can love and care for her and let her live her best life.
