BROOKLYN Needs a Foster or Adopter by October 3 to Secure Her Ride to Wisconsin Brooklyn is currently in Georgia and needs a FOSTER or ADOPTER to secure her spot on the transport to Cedarburg, WI with Mutt Life Dog Rescue on Saturday, October 3, 2026. A committed home is required for her to make the trip, and we're hopeful the right person is out there. Meet Brooklyn Brooklyn is a petite 1-year-old Lab mix who weighs 33 pounds. She and her siblings were found as strays in Georgia, very skinny and understandably shy. Thankfully, Brooklyn is now in a foster home where she has had about a month to learn what it feels like to be safe, loved, and cared for. It took Brooklyn just a day or two to realize she was finally somewhere safe, and once she figured that out, her sweet personality came shining through. She has become a total Velcro dog with her foster mama and loves being around her people. She is friendly, happy, silly, and absolutely loving. Brooklyn LOVES toys and is a serious chewer. She has been known to shred her toys, but her foster mom thinks that may be because she is just so excited to finally have toys of her very own! She gets along great with other dogs and loves to play. She has also been perfectly fine around the cats in her foster home and mostly ignores them. Brooklyn is doing great in her crate and is almost completely potty trained. She is also working on her leash manners and continues to make progress every day. She has not been around kids yet, but her foster mom feels she would do well with them and would not have any concerns about introducing her to a family with children. After such a rough start to life, Brooklyn has learned that people can be kind and that she is safe. Now she just needs a forever family to show her that happily ever after really does exist.
