Honey is a sweet, affectionate German Shepherd who loves being close to her person. She is happiest with a slower-paced life and enjoys quiet mornings, relaxing outside, car rides, belly rubs, and spending time with the people she trusts. Honey was found on the street in May and brought to Carson Animal Care Center. We don't know anything about her life before she was found. She came into foster care in June, and we've gotten to know her much better since then. Honey can be cautious with new people and situations, but once she feels comfortable, she is incredibly loving. She bonds very closely with her person and has shown some resource guarding of her person. Because of this, she would do best in an adult-only home with someone who can continue working with her on this behavior. Honey currently lives with another German Shepherd, but she can be reactive toward unfamiliar dogs, so introductions to other dogs should be slow and carefully managed. Her compatibility with cats is unknown. Honey previously had a benign mammary tumor removed and has recovered well. She is spayed and current on vaccinations. Honey seems happiest with the simple things: a comfortable place to relax, a person she trusts, belly rubs, and quiet days together. She has been in foster care since June and is ready for a home of her own. Videos of Honey: https://youtu.be/jwHlC6vckKs?si=1N4Ow7KGijazbmOt
