About Layla

Please read fully before responding to Layla's listing. We know, she is adorable, and very adoptable, such a cutie!! We do expect many applications and already have a few. But, to help us make the perfect fit for Layla and her future family, PLEASE provide use our application at sparrowdogs.com., if not that, you can send us a detailed email about yourself(home, yard/fence, other pets, family, work hours...) WE will not be accepting or responding to phone calls or texts, or generated responses. We truly appreciate your interest in this sweetheart!! Meet one of our newest guests, this little darlin' is Layla. She is 10 months old, and a adorable little Scorpio girl, her birthday is in November. Layla is a Schnoodle, from what we have been told by her previous family, and she certainly appears to be so. She is a petite little girl(that could use some meet on her bones) and is only 7.6 pounds!!! Layla was an owner release, and they did the kindest thing of all by giving her up to rescue. They both were long hours, often 14 hours a day, and realized that was not the best thing for Layla. Thank goodness they did, that is an incredibly long day for any dog, especially such a young active pup. We are more than happy to take her into our rescue, get her vetted and help her find her happily ever after. She is the sweetest little girl ever, but can be a little shy meeting new people. I suppose after being left along long hours socializing will take a little practice. But, she is very loving and affectionate with her foster family, and even met a few people and is very cuddly. Layla was not so sure of the dogs in her foster home at first. They wanted to play, but Layla was afraid. She is doing much better now, and is confident enough to run around the yard with the crew and let her silly show!! Right now Layla is figuring things out and doing very well and gaining confidence every day. She loves to snuggle with her favorite people, if you are sitting down, she will happily share your space, with this cool weather who doesn't need a lap buddy!! No doubt there is a lot of personality in Layla that is waiting to bloom, she is so young and has been a bit sheltered, so she will do well with a family that is going to encourage that in her life. Perhaps some nice walks, visiting friends and other dogs, a brew pub patio snuggled in her fleece jacket!! She has her whole life ahead of her and we are looking for that special family that can show Layla how wonderful life can be!! Layla is totally housebroken, and will sleep in a crate at night if needed, she is quiet and polite. We are looking for a home where she will not be left alone for long hours. Another gentle dog in the home would be great. A young, active family would be terrific! And yes, she is spayed, fully vetted and up to date on vacs, microchipped and ready for her new home!!
