About Winnie

Winnie is a beautiful Australian Shepherd with all of the intelligence, energy, and herding instincts you would expect from the breed. She is looking for a home that understands Aussies and can give her the environment and attention she needs to thrive. Winnie does well with other dogs and has lived happily with another dog her age. She enjoys companionship and would be a great fit for someone looking for an active, intelligent dog. Like many Australian Shepherds, Winnie has strong herding instincts. She can become overstimulated by running, squealing, and high-energy activity and may try to herd by nipping. Because of this, she would likely do best in a home without young children or with an experienced owner who understands herding breeds and can provide appropriate structure, training, exercise, and mental stimulation. Winnie is a good dog who simply needs a home better suited to her needs. This decision is being made because we want her to have the opportunity to live in an environment where she can be successful, relaxed, and fully enjoy being the smart, active Aussie that she is.
