About Teddy

Meet Teddy! He's a handsome longhaired boy, with a Ragdoll-like appearance. Teddy is estimated to be 3-4 years old. He was originally caught as part of TNR efforts. His trapper quickly realized that while Teddy didn't trust humans, he wasn't truly feral, and he deserved a chance to be safe and inside. She reached out to the rescue for help, and his foster mom has spent the past several months gaining his trust. Now he's ready to find his forever home! His foster mom's absolute favorite thing about him is his stank face-he always has it! The only time he doesn't look like he's judging you is when he gets his chin and cheek rubbies-that's when he closes his eyes and smiles. He loves his daily playtime with his foster mom with a variety of wand toys and he especially enjoys getting her attention when she's working on the computer! One of his hands-down favorite activities is when his foster mom sits on the floor and he gets to flop against or next to her for pets. He even enjoys some gentle belly rubs! While we don't know his specific history with people before being rescued, we believe it may involve betrayal, as Teddy takes time to warm up and trust someone. Because of this, this boy needs an established, consistent daily routine he can count on-this is how he feels safe and bonds with his person. And boy, does he sulk if you don't follow it! Teddy is looking for a patient, calm household with no kids and 1-2 people who are home a lot; ideally, at least one person works from home or is retired. He really wants to be around his person, even while he is getting used to them. While we think he could be okay with a calm dog, he needs to be the only cat in the home.
