Winchester, Ohio. (willing to drive up to 2 hours). 4 Y/O FEMALE GSD (DOB: 5/28/22). Her name is 'Sage'. Background: Current Shepherd Parent has had Sage since she was a puppy. Sage and Stormy are sisters from the same litter, but they are NOT bonded Shepherds. NOT UTD on shots WITH record. Fixed. Good with kids. Good with dogs. Sage currently lives with her sister Stormy, a 5-year-old Labradoodle, and a 7-year-old male Aussiedoodle and is afraid of CSPs MILs Jack Russell. Unknown with cats. Good with horses. NOT House trained. Sage currently lives outside 100% of the time. Crate trained: Unknown. Any known medical issues?: Sage is deaf and is a SPECIAL-NEEDS Shepherd. Abuse/Neglect/Trauma History?: NONE DISCLOSED. ENERGY LEVEL: Medium. PREY DRIVE LEVEL: Low. Weighs 65 lbs. Currently on Retriever Dry Kibble food. Good with car rides?: Yes. Loves: Sleep, attention, cuddling, walks, chilling on the couch, sleeping in bed with her person, being near her person, treats. *Intelligent and knows Basic Commands?: This breed is super intelligent. *Good Recall? (ALWAYS RETRAIN BEFORE ALLOWING OFF LEASH): No. Sage is deaf, so her Recall is not reliable. *Good on a Leash?: Yes. *Lovable?: This breed is super lovable once they claim you as their person/family. *Eager and fast learner?: This breed is super fast learners when they are being committed to and worked with. Bite History?: NONE DISCLOSED. NOTES FROM CURRENT SHEPHERD PARENT: 'Sage is a sweet dog. She needs patience with her disability. When she is in motion she goes in circles has since she was a puppy. The vet thought she might grow out of it. But she still does it. She sleeps alot. I believe her being deaf probably contributes to that. But with love, alot more attention and teaching she would make someone an awesome companion. Sage needs a loving Furever Home with someone who is home often and willing to work with her to become an indoor family member.
