About Yuma

Yuma is an excellent family dog, she loves kids, hikes, playing in water, playing fetch, long walks, full body snuggles, and lots of pets. She is excitable and needs time to adjust to new settings or people otherwise she bounds around and jumps up, she is unaware of how big she is. She is incredibly intelligent and learns quickly, she knows commands but she will need practice because she hasn't gotten the one-on-one interaction she deserves as of late. She can jump higher than 4 feet, and will chase rabbits and deer so needs secure fencing (consider additional invisible fencing and electric training collar) or someone committed to keeping her leashed. She is NOT safe with cats, rabbits, poultry, etc. She does well with other dogs but quickly reacts to dogs who posture at her, she has been attacked by another larger dog a few times and does not back down from a fight.
