About Lewis

Lewis is free to a loving home/family. Free transportation is available (within reason). Sarasota, FLORIDA - Lewis - 5 yrs old male Saint Bernard who is fully vetted/neutered. Lewis was posted about a year ago, but the family could not bear to part with him and made some arrangements. But Lewis' owner is a 88 year old man who fell and broke his shoulder and was in the hospital. Owner came home and tripped and is back in the hospital. THE FAMILY DOES NOT HAVE A FENCED IN YARD. The wife who is in her 80s also, cannot handle Lewis. THERE IS NO ONE EVEN ABLE TO TAKE HIM OUTSIDE TO PEE/POO. PLEASE PLEASE IF YOU HAVE IT IN YOUR HEART TO HELP ASAP, OR SUGGEST A LOCAL RESCUE OR BOARDING FACILITY, PLEASE CONTACT US. LEWIS IS A GREAT DOG FOR A PET FREE HOME WITH A FENCED IN YARD. TRANSPORTATION AVAILABLE PRACTICALLY ANYWHERE WITHIN REASON. Lewis needs a new home ASAP. He was adopted by decades long Saint Bernard rescuing married couple 3-4 years ago from a shelter in Louisiana. He is a great loving dog. No stranger danger but not good with dogs. In the past couple of years Lewis has not been around children, so family has no idea how he would be, BUT LOVES MEETING FOLKS ON THE STREET AND Loves greeting guests in the home with no issues. Lewis has not been around a cat the entire time he has been with his rescuing family - so no idea how he would do. Further details and bio (i.e., likes, dislikes, etc.) are forthcoming as well as more photos and video. Lewis' mom and dad love him so much and are heartbroken in not being about to keep him. They even moved to Florida and made sure they rented a home that allowed them to have the cherished Lewis. Lewis' mom and dad are in their 80's and just cant give Louis the long walks (which he adores) and care they were able to do. Family looking for a loving home that will stay in touch with them with photos and video of Lewis. Family willing to drive pretty much anywhere WITHIN REASON for a great home for Lewis. Lewis has never seen snow and family would love a home in a snowy state for Lewis. Lewis is extremely healthy and an absolutely gorgeous teddy bear.
