An adopter, foster, or rescue can save him.��s��٠� This handsome, young Shepherd came to the South LA shelter on 7/6 as an owner surrender due to landlord issues. He a regular playgroup player with both push-pull and gentle-dainty play styles. He has enjoyed social bouts play with others but can be pushy and an uninvited 'handler helper' (involving himself when a handler is steering out other dogs). He is a young, active, and sweet dog who enjoys playing with tennis balls and showing off commands for treats. Sadly Sonic landed on the euthanasia list after one in-kennel report that he was snarling, growling, bitting at the kennel bars, and baring teeth when staff approached his kennel. Sonic does not display such behavior towards his handlers and this video of Sonic in his kennel was taken today 9/16. ' No dog deserves to spend the vast majority of his days in kennel confinement. Caged life is often more difficult for large working breed dogs and what Sonic needs & deserves is a good home. Please help our friend. He will die at South LA unless someone saves him before 8AM Sat 8/19. The shelter does not open until 11AM on the weekends so Sonic needs an approved exit plan by close of day Friday, 5pm 9/18 or you must email and ask for them to hold him until opening.
