About Dexter

This guy with the winning smile and great eyeliner is Dexter. He is a 2 years old Australian Cattle Dog mix who weighs about 40-45 pounds. He has a long Cattledog tail with a cute curl to it. Dexter is a great dog. He really wants to please and quickly responds when asked to sit, down, or shake hands. He is house and crate trained as well. Click on the YouTube video to see him sitting when asked. Dexter is a nice guy. He is good with men, women, and polite kids. I met him before writing his bio and it took him only seconds before he came up to say hi, showed off his hand shake trick, and accepted treats. He is soft, happy, and just wants a lifestyle where gets to go places with his people but not really busy places like festivals and busy offices. Dexter is good with dogs. He hasn't been cat tested but shows no interest in the chickens. We think he would be good with cats with a slow introduction to a dog savvy cat. Dexter will be a fun adventure pal. He is good on leash and good on the car. He has nice long legs that would make him a good hiking and running partner. This guy is a gem. Best friend material. Someone will be lucky to have a dog this in tune with his people. Dexter is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped but will need to get new vaccines. He is located in Southern CA, and is ready to meet adopters who are able to come here to meet and adopt. A home visit and vet reference are required.
