About Zeus

6 year old, 80 pound male Catahoula. He is very attached to people and might be the best cuddler of any dog. All he wants to do is be next to you and will accompany you to the bathroom. He barks initially when meeting new people but warms up fast. He is very, very food motivated. He was born 'mostly' deaf (can hear loud noises but gets startled and can't localize sound). He has an allergy to meat protein and needs to be on a vegetarian hydrolyzed protein diet. He has valley fever and separation anxiety that he is on medication for. He can be highly destructive when left alone and would do well with someone who doesn't work or has land to leave him outside on when gone. He does well with some dogs, usually more dominant dogs as he tends to be more submissive but will bully nervous or timid dogs and has been labeled with 'puppy aggression' in the past due to this behavior. He lives with 3 cats and has never been aggressive but does chase them.
