About Minnie

Meet Minnie, an adorable 8-pound Chihuahua mix with an even more adorable personality. Minnie came to us from a hoarding home with over 50 other dogs, but you'd never know it by how well she has settled into her foster home. She's already figured out that potty time happens outside (though her preference tends to be to use puppy pads), and she's doing a great job learning how to walk on a leash. She's a sweet little lady who is quickly discovering that being a pampered house dog is pretty wonderful! At around 10 years old, Minnie a little bit of a velcro dog but also an independent girl. She loves her cuddles and she may quietly sidle up to you and make it clear that your hand appears to be available for petting (even when it may not be). When she's not playing her favorite role of Chief Petting Officer, she can go off and do her own thing. She may put on her best 'stranger danger!' performance with some barking at new people, but she's easily won over with treats. Honestly, Minnie believes snacks are a perfectly reasonable way to build a friendship. Minnie is looking for a patient, loving person who will give her the time and reassurance she needs as she continues learning that the world can be a pretty wonderful place. She recently had a dental and has no known health issues. She is dog friendly and could happily live with other dogs, but she'd also be perfectly content soaking up all the attention as someone's one and only. Minnie has already come such a long way, and we can't wait to see her find a home where she can relax, cuddle up, and finally be exactly what she deserves to be: somebody's very beloved little girl.
