About Allegro

Meet Allegro (A291509)! Allegro is an adorable 1-year-old, 38-pound American Staffordshire Terrier mix who has been waiting at Pinal County Animal Care & Control since June 2026. This sweet little pocket pittie was found as a stray, and the family who found him had wonderful things to say about him. Allegro showed great manners in their home, appeared to be housebroken, and even knew how to use a dog door. He also did well with their children, including children as young as 1 year old, and got along with the large male dogs in the home. Since arriving at the shelter, Allegro has continued making doggie friends. He enjoys going for walks and spending time with people. He can still be a little timid around men initially and appreciates a calm, gentle introduction. Unfortunately, the noise and constant activity of shelter life are becoming stressful for this young boy. Allegro has spent months living in a kennel, and he is ready for a home where he can relax, feel safe, and continue building his confidence. At only 1 year old, Allegro has his whole life ahead of him. He is sweet, dog-friendly, compact at just 38 pounds, and ready for someone to give him the chance he deserves. Come meet Allegro!
