About Bo

Meet Bo Location: Sweeny, TX If you've been waiting for a gentle giant who checks just about every box, meet Bo. Bo is a 2-year-old, 150-pound Great Dane with a kind heart, wonderful manners, and a whole lot of love to give. He is being rehomed because his family's busy schedule with their children's school and activities no longer allows them to give Bo the time and attention he deserves. His family is willing to keep him safely at home until the right adopter is found. Bo is described as loving, gentle, mild-mannered, and eager to please. He's house trained, leash and collar trained, knows basic obedience, and will sit when asked. He doesn't counter surf and has no known history of aggression or behavioral concerns. And this big guy loves to play! Bo currently has access to a large fenced yard where he enjoys spending time outside, playing fetch, and challenging his people to a good game of tug-of-war. A Family Dog Through and Through Bo currently lives with children ages 7 and 8 and is frequently around other children. His family's kids can feed, bathe, and care for him without issue. As with any 150-pound Great Dane, sometimes Bo forgets just how much dog there is to love. His family is mindful of his size when everyone gets excited and playing, simply to prevent an accidental collision with one of the kids. Bo has also lived with another dog and does well with canine visitors, including male dogs. He enjoys playing and has shown no aggression toward them. His compatibility with cats is unknown. He will bark when he sees cats outside, so a home with cats would require further evaluation. Bo's Perfect Home Bo doesn't need anything extravagant. He simply needs a family with enough time to make him part of their everyday lives. He would love a home where he can enjoy plenty of attention, quality time with his people, room to stretch those giant legs, and regular opportunities for fetch and play. Another compatible dog could be a great addition, but most importantly, Bo wants people who have time for him. At only 2 years old, he has his whole life ahead of him-and an incredible foundation already in place. He's house trained. He's good with children. He's dog friendly. He's playful without being unruly. He's affectionate, gentle, and eager to please. In other words, Bo might just be the giant-breed unicorn you've been waiting for.
