About Willow

Willow is an AKC-registered chocolate Lab who turned 3 in June. She is fixed, up to date on her shots, and will come with her AKC paperwork, veterinary records, and shot records. Willow is a sweet, affectionate girl who loves cuddling and being close to her people. She enjoys running around with the kids, handles car rides well, and especially loves going to the lake. She has been raised around children, cats, chickens, and goats. She sometimes wants to herd or play with the goats, so she will need supervision around livestock. She also knows some basic commands. Willow does have anxiety, especially during thunderstorms, fireworks, gunshots, or other loud noises. She has taken anxiety medication in the past. She normally settles when someone is home to comfort her, lets her cuddle, or allows her to lie nearby or under their feet with her familiar things. We will gladly explain her medication history and what has worked for her to anyone seriously considering her. She isn't perfect and will need a patient family willing to comfort her when she becomes nervous, but she is a loving companion who enjoys being part of the family. Willow will come with her collar, harness, leash, remaining food, a new training collar, and any other supplies we have for her. We are rehoming Willow because our family no longer has the time, space, or financial ability to give two large dogs everything they need. This is not an easy decision, and our priority is finding her a safe, loving home with the attention and space she deserves. She is free, but she will not simply go to the first person who asks.
