About Winston

Winston is an AKC-registered silver Lab who will turn 3 in January. He is fixed, up to date on his shots, and will come with his AKC paperwork, veterinary records, and shot records. Winston is a playful, loving boy who enjoys running around and spending time with the kids. He has been raised around children, cats, chickens, and goats. He sometimes wants to herd or play with the goats, so he will need supervision around livestock. He handles car rides well and knows some basic commands. He also has a mischievous side and may investigate the kitchen cabinets when he thinks food is available-he is tall enough to see exactly where everything is! He isn't perfect and will still need attention, consistency, and room to play, but he has a lot of love and personality to offer the right family. Winston currently has a skin issue that primarily affects his right ear. We are not certain what is causing it, although we believe it may be yeast-related. We have medication for it and are working on getting it cleared up. We want his future family to know about it upfront. He will come with his collar, harness, leash, remaining food, a new training collar, and any other supplies we have for him. We are rehoming Winston because our family no longer has the time, space, or financial ability to give two large dogs everything they need. This is not an easy decision, and our priority is finding him a safe, loving home with the time and space he deserves. He is free, but he will not simply go to the first person who asks.
