MEET LUCY - 7 1/2 LBS OF PURE SUNSHINE! Hi! My name is Lucy, and one of my favorite things is taking walks in our little doggie buggy around the park with my friend Maggie. (Maggie is in the picture with me, but sorry-she is not for adoption! I am 1 year old and only 7 1/2lbs. I came to the rescue with several other little dogs after being surrendered by a breeder. Now I'm learning how wonderful life can be in a loving foster home. I have been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped, so I'm ready to find my forever family! Here is what my foster Mom and Dad have to say about me: 'Lucy is a super-loving, incredibly affectionate little ball of sunshine! She is doing great with our dog and they play really well together. She met a one-year-old little boy and was very gentle and had him laughing. All Lucy wants is to give you tons of affection and get a few belly rubs in return. She eats great and bounced back from her spay almost immediately.' Basically, I LOVE LOVE. Belly rubs are also highly appreciated! I HAVE A SISTER! If you happen to be looking for a pair, my sister Minka is also available. She is super cute but much shyer than I am and needs a little extra time and patience to feel comfortable. She's coming along beautifully. My adoption fee is $950, which includes my veterinary care, spay, vaccinations and microchip. Our rescue dogs live in loving foster homes, not kennels. This gives us the opportunity to really get to know them-their personalities, habits, likes, dislikes and little quirks. Our goal isn't simply to place a dog quickly. It's to find the home that is right for that particular dog. The adoption fee also helps support the time, veterinary care and resources we dedicate to our dogs, including those who come to us needing more extensive medical care. A few important things before applying: We do not adopt to families with young children. If you are a senior, please consider one of our wonderful mature dogs, since a one-year-old like Lucy could be with you for many years. We generally do not adopt out of state unless there is an excellent, verifiable veterinary history and strong references. Lucy may only weigh 71/2lbs, but apparently nobody told her that love is supposed to have a weight limit. Her adoption fee is $950.00
