About Doji

Adoption Fee: 200
Shiba Inu
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Meet Doji %BD%BD%90%BD Doji is a young male Shiba Inu, born approximately October 31, 2025. We welcomed him into our family in April 2026 after his previous owner realized she was unable to provide the training and care he needed. Doji is a sweet, handsome young dog who is generally very relaxed inside the home. Like a typical Shiba, he is alert and aware of what's happening around him and will bark when someone approaches the house or when deliveries arrive. Outdoors, Doji can become very excited and reactive to his surroundings. He may bark or try to chase things that catch his attention, so he would benefit from an experienced and patient owner willing to continue working with him on leash manners, confidence, and training. Doji has lived in a home with two children and has not lived with cats while in our care. His experience with other dogs is good. We believe his ideal home would have a securely fenced yard and, most importantly, someone who has enough time to provide him with consistent exercise, potty breaks, structure, attention, and training. We were told when we received Doji that he was crate and potty trained, but we later learned that his training was not as established as represented. His new family should be prepared to continue working with him consistently. Doji is believed to be intact/not yet neutered. We have veterinary paperwork from a previous visit that we will provide to his new owner, although his current vaccination status should be verified with a veterinarian. Our decision to rehome Doji is not because he is unwanted or because of something he has done. Our family's work schedules and responsibilities simply do not allow us to consistently give a young, active dog the amount of time and attention he deserves. We want to find him a safe, permanent home that is a better fit for his needs. We would especially love to find someone familiar with Shiba Inus or similar independent, high-energy breeds who understands the time, patience, training, and secure environment they can require.
