I need to rehome my 3-year-old male Doberman as soon as possible due to severe health and housing constraints. We recently moved from Arkansas to an apartment in Washington, and the change has been difficult for him. He has significant high energy and separation anxiety; when left alone, he barks consistently and destroys his bed. He also pulls very hard on his leash, tries to jump through the window when neighbors walk their dogs, and can be very defiant. Because I am currently preparing for back surgery, I am physically unable to walk him, and he must wait until my husband gets home from work. With our apartment setup, we are at risk of losing our housing if we cannot find him a suitable environment quickly. Here are the key details regarding his health and background: - Medical Status: Up to date on all shots. Had seen a vet routinely for allergies and is treated wirh medication. Have not established care here as of yet. He is not neutered. (Note: His physical paperwork was accidentally left in a storage unit back in Arkansas). - Behavior & Training: He knows basic commands, but needs consistent behavioral training that I am currently unable to provide. - Compatibility: He is great with kids of all ages. He currently lives with a 1-year-old cat and does very well with him. Having rescued dogs in the past, I have found he is also good with other dogs when properly introduced. He was rehomed before and was brought back due to health issues with the person.
