Django was brought into a kill shelter in Orange County, CA in early June. It was noted that he was very fearful and confused, which is understandable. Django began to adjust to his environment and would be excited to see shelter volunteers that would take him for walks. After almost three months in the shelter, he was finally adopted...olny to be returned in 48 hours. The adopter returned him due to him being anxious in the crate and trying to escape. Since Django has been with us in NY (almost 4 days now) I can say that this 'anti-crate' behavior is separation anxiety. This boy is a lover, and he wants to be with his person. Since he has been abandoned multiple times in the past it is to be expected that he would be stressed with crated away from his human. Considering that Django has been with us 4 days and his behavior when crated has improved 90%! He is resilient, intelligent and he gets along great with other dogs. He is a derpy goofball and is great off leash and on leash. If you would like to meet Django please reach out and we will send you an application.
