About Figaro

[Read About Natural Incontinence Care] Figaro is a 4-year-old, 16-lb Shih Tzu mix with previous spinal and pelvic fractures that are now healed, but he has lasting mobility limitations and urinary and bowel incontinence. He can walk short distances but tires easily and uses a stroller for longer outings. He wears a belly band for urinary incontinence and may need some assistance with his bathroom routine. Despite his physical limitations, Figaro is a very happy, affectionate little dog who loves people, children, cuddling, stroller rides, shopping, farm animals, and being included in family activities. He has a huge personality and genuinely enjoys life. Figaro currently coexists well with four other dogs in his foster home about 95% of the time. He does have some resource guarding, particularly around other dogs and people or things he is especially bonded to, so he needs an experienced, understanding home willing to manage this behavior appropriately. Figaro would do best with someone who understands special-needs dogs and can provide a safe, structured environment with appropriate accommodations. He may not be the easiest dog to place, but he has so much love and personality to give and deserves someone willing to see past his limitations.
