About Rosie

Rosie is a **7-month-old Great Dane/Catahoula mix** with a big personality and plenty of puppy energy! She loves treats, takes them gently, and is easily redirected when something catches her attention. Rosie can be excited at her kennel and may pull when she sees another dog, but once she's out and interacting, her playful and social personality really shines. She enjoys affection, tolerated full-body handling beautifully, and during hugs her evaluator noted that she **'wanted more hugs + kisses.'** She also showed a nice level of toy play and **no concerning food or possession guarding behaviors** during her evaluation. Rosie is a **high-energy, enthusiastic player with other dogs**. She immediately initiated play during her dog tests with playful bows, pawing, jumping, friendly whining and barking. Her play style can be very rough and energetic, so she would likely be best matched with a dog who enjoys that same kind of play. The evaluator noted that despite all her excitement, Rosie was **easily redirected**. Rosie was also introduced to the shelter's dog-savvy cat, Sunshine. She approached with curiosity, sniffed, and then moved away without showing stiff staring, high arousal, or predatory behavior during the recorded portion of the evaluation. At only 7 months old, Rosie is still a growing puppy who will benefit from continued training and an active family that can help channel all that youthful energy. She's **affectionate, playful, social, food motivated, and full of personality**-and she's ready to grow up with a family of her own!
