About GEM

Meet Gem! She is a 9-year-old Yorkie who weighs just 5 pounds-but don't let her tiny size fool you! This little girl has plenty of spunk and personality. Gem came into rescue when her owner became hospitalized. She has had a dental and is ready to find a loving home of her own. She seems to do well with both dogs and cats and walks nicely on a leash. We don't yet know how she would do with children. Gem can also be vocal so no apartments for this lady! Gem will need a little refresher on house training as she settles into her new home. She also doesn't enjoy being confined, so she'll do best with a family that can give her the freedom and companionship she craves. Gem is fostering in Tempe and meet and greets will need to happen at her foster home. If you're looking for a tiny Yorkie with a big personality, Gem may be your perfect little match!
