About CARLA

This is Carla, a young Chihuahua mix, that was found as a stray. The owner never came forward so she is now available to bring joy to a new family. We estimate her age to be about 18 months and she does have lots of puppy energy. Carla is very smart and has learned the routine at the fosters house very quickly. She is house trained (with a doggy door) and we are working on her manners. She gets along well with all types of dogs, both large and small but she has not yet shown to be a player. She is fearless when it comes to other dogs and exploring new things. Carla is very affectionate and will sleep with you or sit on your lap if you let her. She has taken a fancy to her foster dad and follows him around the house and can generally be found near his feet (that may be because he is 'food guy'). She is crate trained, she'll complain at first, but settles in quickly. Carla does have a tendency to 'door dash' so a family with very young children would probably not be a good match. We are working on our stay command and she seems to be picking it up quickly. Carla is fully vaccinated, spayed and micro-chipped and will make a great addition to the right family.
