About PETEY

PETEY is a diamond in the rough, and we know with just a little extra patience and love he will soon understand that better days are ahead! Meet PETEY! PETEY is ridiculously handsome Jack Russel/Basset/Beagle type mix, about 3 years old and weighs about 25 lbs. PETEY doesn't have a mean bone in his body...but he also doesn't have a confident bone in his body. This poor boy has been through it, and he needs that super loving, patient and gentle adopter who will allow him to blossom at his own pace. PETEY is great with other animals and may benefit from another dog leading the way, but may be ok as any only dog, too. His crate is his safe space and he'll often retreat there to relax. He also loves to sneak all the stuffies into his crate and it's absolutely adorable! He's walking well on a leash but is still easily spooked by sudden movements/noises, so routine walks would be a great way for him to overcome some of these worries. PETEY is a special boy who is looking for an equally special home to help guide him and love him. Located in private foster in CT.
