About Charlie

Hi, I'm Charlie! I'm a sweet, chill, and somewhat shy adult cat who has been part of my family's life for many years. I originally came into their lives through a family friend, and since then, I've been along for the ride through many moves and life changes. Once I get comfortable with you, I'm a big cuddle bug. One of my favorite things to do is curl up with my people and 'make biscuits.' I'm happiest when things are calm and I have a quiet place where I can relax and feel safe. I've had a few challenges over the years. After another cat joined the household and we experienced a house fire, I became more sensitive to changes and stress. I've also developed inconsistent litter-box habits. Sometimes I use my litter box normally, but there are also times when I choose somewhere else. My family has worked through this with me, but it remains a behavior that my new family should be prepared to manage with patience and understanding. Because of my personality and these sensitivities, I think I would be happiest as the only pet in the home. No cats, no dogs - just me and my people. A quiet, predictable environment would be especially nice as I settle into my senior years.
