Mabel is a beautiful girl in need of a new home. Her litter was dropped on the side of the road and sadly, a few got parvo. Mabel survived, but the specialist believes this is the cause of her retinal deterioration and blindness. Please read more about Mabel below! Name: Mabel Age: 1 year Breed: Terrier Mix (39 pounds) Sex: Female (spayed per owner) Location: Greene County, AR Vet Info: Per her owner, Mabel is spayed, up to date with vaccines, and heartworm negative. She appears completely blind, and her owner writes, 'her retinas are gone'. Dog Info: Mabel is an indoor dog who is crated. She is housebroken and working on leash training (she's been on leash a few times). And she's great at sitting! Mabel is described as nervous and shy. She's good with both men and women but will need a home without children or other pets as she has become aggressive to her owner's other dogs. She will need to be the only pet in the home. Her owner tells us Mabel is fine by herself and shared more details about how she is with others: 'Honestly the attacks are just random. It's almost like a dominance thing. She try's to block the other dogs from us too. The other dogs have always been fine. The only time she's been aggressive towards a person is when breaking it up, but I'm not sure she knew it was us. So far it's only been our two other dogs that she's attacked because I haven't wanted to risk it with any other. She's possessive over food, but just with other dogs. We can literally do anything to her by herself at anytime and she's fine. She absolutely loves toys and treats...' Mabel's owner feels she adapts well to new situations but just needs time to get used to new people. Other than her vision, Mabel's owner tells us she's in great health.
