About Rabbit

We rescued Rabbit along with his brother. They came to us mostly feral, starving, and covered in ticks and fleas. We took them in, cleaned them up, and got the meat back on their bones. In the time that we have had them they've both turned into incredible dogs. Rabbit is around 2 and a half years old, up to date on shots, and has been taking Simparica Trio. He was immediately housebroken outside of a couple of isolated accidents, and with a bit of work has crate trained quite well. Rabbit is truly a special dog. In many ways, he's a gentle giant. In others, he's still a big and rambunctious puppy dog. He's a very attached dog that needs lots of love. He needs lots of toys as he loves to chew, and he is very treat motivated. He gets a little anxious in the dark by himself so a night light is well appreciated. Once he calms down, he's very cuddly and will happily squeeze up next to you to sleep all night. That being said, he does have some special considerations. He has cryptorchidism, meaning only one testicle has dropped. This leads to an increased risk of testicular cancer, so neutering is a non-negotiable. Unfortunately we are not in a place financially to be able to take care of this ourselves. He also chipped some of his canine teeth due to the malnutrition before being rescued. We've spoken with a vet and one of these teeth will need to be extracted at some point in the near future, but the others are okay for now and might never pose an issue. In return, you'll get a dog with a heart as big as his head that will be as excited to see you every day as the first day he got to sleep inside. Please reach out with any questions.
