About Ava

(DOB 09/08/2023) This adorable girl is heartworm positive, but do not let this stop you from adopting her. She is available for adoption within a 1-hour radius of Wake Forest, NC so she can receive her treatment when it is time and the rescue will cover the expenses. And don't worry, our rescue will guide you through the process. Some dogs make you work for their affection. Ava? She'll happily give you all the love she has from day one. Ava is a 3-year-old, 15 lb., Chihuahua mix whose favorite place is wherever her person happens to be. She's sweet, affectionate, and simply loves being with you. If you're looking for a little companion who wants to be part of your everyday life, Ava may have already found her favorite job: being your best girl. Ava is new to the Paws for Life NC family, so we're still getting to know all the wonderful things that make her special. But what we know so far is pretty easy to love. She's an easygoing girl with a gentle personality who seems to take life in stride. She also comes with some pretty great house manners! Ava is house trained, crate trained, and good on a leash. She's done well with both dogs and cats, too, making her a wonderfully adaptable little companion. Most of all, Ava is just a loving, uncomplicated kind of girl. She doesn't need a lot-just a family who will appreciate her sweet nature, include her in their lives, and give her the love she so freely gives in return. We'll keep learning more about Ava as she settles into her foster home, but we have a feeling this little girl is going to be very easy to fall in love with.
