New Franklin, Ohio (willing to drive up to: TBD). 7.5 Y/O FEMALE BLACK & TAN AKC REGISTERED GSD (DOB: 10/16/18). Her name is 'Jael'. AKC Registered. Background: Current Shepherd Parent has had Jael since she was 6 months old. Jael lives in the home with Isla 27-6Q, and bullies her and has attacked her. UTD on shots WITH record. Fixed. Good with kids. Jael absolutely loves children and was raised with them. Unknown with toddlers. NOT Good with dogs. Jael is aggressive toward animals. She has very good behavior around other dogs if she knows you are watching her, but if she thinks no one is around, she will try to be aggressive to the dogs. NOT Good with cats. Jael is aggressive toward animals. House trained. Crate trained: UNKNOWN. She has been trained to free-roam the home. Separation anxiety: Yes Any known medical issues?: Jael was diagnosed this past year with an Autoimmune Disease and Anal Fistulas. She takes Cyclosporine 100 mg daily, which is a lifelong medication and costs approximately $50/month through Chewy. She also has a grain sensitivity that causes her to vomit. Abuse/Neglect/Trauma History?: None disclosed. ENERGY LEVEL: Medium. PREY DRIVE LEVEL: High. Weighs 78 lbs. Currently on Pro Plan Sensitive Stomach with Evanger's Beef & Bacon wet canned food. Good with car rides?: Yes. Jael is also excellent in public and very well-behaved when going inside stores. She has very good behavior if she sees other dogs in the store, it is only when she is left alone with other dogs that she becomes aggressive. Socialized with: *people?: Yes. *dogs?: Yes, but she is aggressive toward animals when left alone. Good with meeting new people? (ALWAYS USE PROPER INTRODUCTION!): Yes. Loves: Fetch, car rides, treats, being near her person, walks, cuddling, chilling on the couch, playing with kids, balls, sleeping in bed with her person, soup beef bones, bacon, eggs, and Milk-Bones. *Intelligent and knows Basic Commands?: This breed is super intelligent. *Good Recall? (ALWAYS RETRAIN BEFORE ALLOWING OFF LEASH): Yes. *Good on a Leash?: Yes. *Lovable?: This breed is super lovable once they claim you as their person/family. *Eager and fast learner?: This breed is super fast learners when they are being committed to and worked with. Bite History?: No bite history toward people disclosed. Jael loves humans, but is aggressive toward ANIMALS and will attempt to seriously harm/kill other animals if left unsupervised. She must NEVER be around other animals. NOTES FROM CURRENT SHEPHERD PARENT: 'This shepherd knows all commands, completely house broke for 12 plus hrs if need be, great recall, excellent on leash and great w car rides and going in the store. She is a great protector and will stay by ur side ALL the time. She makes it her job. She is a high need shepard. The medication is very important and cannot be stopped or she will have fistulas erupting everywhere and it does cause her alot of pain. She does great on an electric fence, someone that takes her with them alot, not to be left out but cherished for the guard dog she is. Someone that can afford her the diet that she is on, that took me alot of years to figure out, she is stable on. And also afford the medication she needs to thrive.' Re Homing because�'�|: The extreme stress of trying to keep Jael separated from the other household animals has become too much, and the Current Shepherd Parent's mental health is declining. Jael needs to find her Furever home ASAP where she can safely be the ONLY animal and receive the care and attention she deserves. She is a very sweet girl with humans and children; she simply cannot be around other animals.
