Kovu came from a California rescue where he was around a pack of 16 other dogs. Good with cats. Currently lives with three cats. He may play rough with them but has not shown aggression toward them. While the Current Shepherd Parent understands he's just being a puppy, there are some moments that seem a little too intense and has made her feel uncomfortable. This issues will definitely need to be worked with with the new Shepherd Parent. NOTES FROM CURRENT SHEPHERD PARENT: ' I absolutely adore my Kovu, I've wanted a dog my entire life & he's become my baby he is sweet & cuddles, follows me everytime I get up, goes to the bathroom with me & shower! He will get in the shower with you & sit there or play in the water. If you catch him off guard while hes sleeping/laying down & you call his name he will get up and smile at you as he slowly wags his tail to you, when he knows he did something bad like get in the trash or litter box (ew) & you say 'what did you do' he will lay back or wag his tail & kinda turn ashamed but smile at you, his little smile is the best cutest thing. He's a really good boy overall, his not so good qualities are just too much with my son. My son has some health issues & also isn't that stable on his feet, hes too rough with him to play with, I've been trying so hard to work with him to keep him but his strength & stubbornness is too difficult for me to handle. Overall hes very sweet, he needs to work on socializing & commands - he does sit but that's about it lol. I hope that you enjoy him & love him as much as I do, this is incredibly heartbreaking for me but I have to do this for my precious child, its been alot on him. Thank you for rescuing & wanting to give my handsome boy a good home.' Re Homing because'|: Kovu is still a puppy and is currently displaying extremely high energy and very poor puppy manners, including excessive jumping, rough play, accidentally scratching and knocking people over, puppy nipping and being generally overwhelming. This has become too much for the Current Shepherd Parent, especially with a 10-year-old son who has health issues. Kovu is simply too overbearing for their current situation, and he needs a home that can give him the time, structure, training, and patience required to help him mature into the amazing dog he can become. Will thrive best'|?: In a loving home, preferably with NO toddlers, with someone experienced with high-energy Shepherd puppies, someone who is h
