About Dmitri

Hi. I'm Dmitri and I just got off the road from a long and expensive cross-country journey with a dog transport service so I can find a new home in the eastern U.S. I was born in Long Beach, California about eight years ago but my mommy graduated from UCLA and got a job far away in France so I was left behind with her then-boyfriend. Next, I was traded off to his ex-wife in Reno but pretty soon she said she couldn't take care of me. There was even talk of putting me down. So my mommy stepped back in from France and arranged to have me shipped to her parents' home in Louisville. But they travel a lot and really can't keep me long term. I'm hoping for a new home with someone kind, who doesn't mind a gentle, well-trained older pit bull around who barks very little and does a number of impressive cool tricks. (And maybe someone who will send occasional pictures of me to my original mommy in France.) I never potty in the house and I only need a couple of short walks a day.
