About Zoomie

Zoomie was in an Augusta Maine animal shelter. He had been removed from a hoarding situation. My brother adopted him, but he keeps running away. He is sweet, but has not attached himself to my brother, and his wife. The first time he escaped his fenced in area, he was gone for a week before my brother was able to trap him. He has run off again, and won't come when called. He has set out another trap he got from animal control, but so far has not captured him again. My brother loves animals, and has worked hard to build trust, but it is not working. I think he has simply chosen the wrong breed for them. They recently lost both their dogs to old age, and one to cancer. I'm thinking though the care for Zoomie, he just is not the right dog for them. Do you help find new homes for Akita's?
