About Indy Mae

Meet Indy Mae ��%BD��%BD%90%BE Location: San Antonio, TX DOB: 8/9/25 Indy is a sweet, gentle girl who absolutely loves her humans and would happily spend all day getting pets and cuddling. She's a bit of a couch potato and is perfectly content relaxing with her people and enjoying the backyard. Indy is still learning what it means to be an indoor dog. Many things are new to her, so she can be cautious and unsure in unfamiliar situations, especially around new people, objects, and environments. She isn't aggressive-she just needs patience, reassurance, and time to build confidence. She is housebroken, leash trained, crate trained, good in the car, and knows how to sit! She's still working on basic commands and household manners. She also has a funny habit of stealing shoes and clothes that smell like her humans, so she'll need to be crated when left alone until she learns that shoes aren't chew toys. Indy has made wonderful progress with other dogs. She was initially very guarded but has learned to trust her foster siblings and now enjoys playing, especially with her foster sister Juliette, who has been teaching her about toys and playtime. A home with another friendly dog could be a great fit, as long as her new family understands that she may need time to adjust. Indy is currently being treated for heartworm and is gaining weight. She will need to reach a healthy weight before she can be spayed. She has not yet been around children, and she is still very shy with strangers. Indy is looking for a patient, loving family who understands that she's essentially starting over.
