URGENT, since just heard she is getting kennel stress, due to being caged up almost 24/7, which puts her at even greater risk, being 'humanely' euthanized!!! The shelter is often critically over-capacity, meaning perfectly good doggies get euthanized due to lack of space!!! Which dogs are chosen is a crapshoot. Chicago Animal Care and Control mostly only allows purebred Shepherds to be rescued through a rescue org., not adopted through the shelter, therefore at increased risk of a tragic ending there. PLEASE apply to foster or foster to adopt with German Shepherd Rescue, Inc, if live in Chicago/Chicagoland area, parts of Indiana (will have to copy and paste links onto browser): https://gsrescue1.org/index.php/application/ and/or Mit Liebe if in Wisconsin, Chicago, north of Chicago suburbs: https://www.mlgsdr.com/foster_guidelines.html Following information from rescue org.: Is 2 years old, owner surrender, done great with handling, done well with other dogs, has not been reactive. She's very friendly. Spoke to her former owner, said that she's a very friendly dog and didn't know any behavioral issues- surrendering because he's moving and can't take her to the new place. PLEASE complete applications with the aforementioned rescue orgs. Once completed, send email to address below, so can give the rescues a heads up, application/applications sent. She sounds like a very good girl! For specific questions regarding Terra, need to email the rescue orgs. Thank you.
