About Taio

Taio is looking for a foster or committed adopter in Orange County! This sweet little guy is at one of our overcrowded shelter partners that was recently impacted by Hurricane Lowell, and he needs a second through transferring to our rescue. Taio is about 3 years old, is fully vetted, and weighs roughly 13lbs. He was surrendered to the only open admission animal shelter on the island of Kauai with 3 other dogs, all of which have been adopted. Upon arrival to the shelter, Taio was understandably scared. However, he's starting to come out of his shell and is being described as a chill dog who loves to relax and is comfortable around other people. He is good with dogs around his size. Taio would do best in a home that is willing to work with him on basic training and that is around most of the time to keep him company. Because he can be more fearful in new environments at first, we are not sure how he would do with kids.
