About Zero

9 year old border Collie/shitzu/pug mix. BEHAVIORAL ISSUES NOT THE DOG FOR EVERYONE I have had Zero all of his life. He can be a really wonderful, sweet, playful, funny dog. He can also be a real jerk!! As a much younger dog he would nip anyone and everyone that wasn't me for any reason he could find. He couldn't be free around other animals. After a lot of training and hard work and age he has improved a LOT. He can be free around chickens and my parrot, he has to be introduced to cats but after a few introductions he will settle down and leave them be if they leave him be. He CANNOT be free around other dogs but he can walk past them, be in the same room as a crated dog, walk by dogs in a vet clinic. Still, I always keep his history in mind and give other dogs a wide berth. He does alright meeting new people he usually either like barks the first one or two times and then he's chill or he's immediately friendly. He hasn't bitten a person in years, I couldn't tell you the last time. He just doesn't want to be cuddled, picked up, or moved physically like pushed. He's very smart he walks great on a leash, he knows come, sit, stay, lay down, drop it, spin, he's learning roll over and 'bang.' He can be crated. He is house trained. He is neutered. Why am I rehoming him? I have had to move back home to a home with 3 other dogs and Zero's world has become so small and cooped up. I try to walk him a few times every day but I've also started a full time job and I adore him but I just can't give him what he needs anymore. I'm not in a rush but I would really like to find him 'the perfect home.' He is up to date on all shots. I'm not asking a rehoming fee but I will ask you a million questions lol.
