Once playtime is over he's ready to lean in close to your side for endless pets and back scratches. He loves stretching out on the grass in the yard and enjoying the simple pleasures of being a dog. He is a GOOD boy who would absolutely love to have a family to share his life and love with. Can you give him a home? Our shelter is full, come meet him! I'm Aragorn, a 1-year-old, 40-pound Collie mix who is neutered, heartworm negative, and HOUSEBROKEN. I walk nicely on a leash, know some basic commands, take treats gently, and listen because I genuinely want to make you happy. I'm also pretty athletic! I've been showing off on the shelter's agility course, so I could be your future training buddy, adventure partner, or agility superstar. I'm a smart boy who thrives on positive reinforcement, so bring on the praise, encouragement, and treats! I'm eager to learn and ready to show you what I can do. When I'm off the clock, I enjoy stretching out in the grass, wagging my tail at everyone who passes, and leaning in for approximately one million back scratches. I'm playful, sweet, affectionate, and ready to be somebody's very best friend. But here's the part that breaks my little dog heart. I'm a long-term shelter resident, and the shelter is constantly at capacity. Not every dog gets the chance to make it out.
