Meet Karla A Loving German Shepherd Ready for Her Forever Family! Karla is an approximately 5-year-old German Shepherd looking for the loving home she deserves. She was found dumped at a shipyard in November 2024, underweight (about 40 lbs) and having recently had puppies. After spending over a year there, this sweet girl is finally ready to leave the past behind and start her new life. Karla is a true people-lover. She hasn't met a person she doesn't like - she's affectionate, friendly, and wants nothing more than to love her family and be loved back. She also gets along well with other dogs and cats. She currently lives with 7 cats and happily shares her space with them (though she's a bit of a space hog!). Karla is full of personality and loves: Long walks Lounging on the pool ledge (she hasn't gone swimming yet but enjoys relaxing there) Sitting outside on a chair watching the rain while staying dry Cuddling with new puppies Watching TV with her people She's an active girl who wants to play and enjoys being part of daily life. When meeting new dogs, she can be a bit pushy at first because she gets so excited to play (she'll paw at them to invite them), but she warms up quickly and loves making new friends. Karla is house-trained with no accidents inside, learning commands (though she can be a little stubborn about it), and is overall a happy, loving companion. She is also crate-trained. This sweet, loyal girl is ready for a family who will give her the stability, playtime, and affection she's been missing. She would do best in a home where she won't be left alone for very long periods, as she thrives on companionship. She is due for another ProHeart injection in December 2026. Transportation will be provided if out of TX. Adoption fee will have transport expenses added.
