Please prepare to provide the following information to the staff about you, your family, the city in which you live, other pets, your fenced yard, and whatever else will help identify your family as a good match. You are encouraged to call the shelter for updated information and availability, and to answer your specific questions. 541-474-5458 Hi, I'm Fester, and I'm looking for a new home! I'm a boy who is about 9 years old, and I weigh 28lbs. I could still lose another couple of pounds. I was found running loose, and no one claimed me. When the shelter first met me, I had a mass on my face the size of a baseball! It hung off of my chin and was very uncomfortable. It was growing quickly and started to burst. The vet checked me out and it was no surprise when they said that it had to come off. Shelter Friends helped sponsor my procedure and wonderful donors contributed to help me on my journey! The mass has been removed, and I feel sooo much better now! The good news is that it did not appear cancerous. I'm now ready to find my new home! I am in a foster home and have been showing my foster what a good boy I am. She says: 'He's a jovial guy and gets along with all kinds of different sizes. He likes to be with his people. The first week or so, he always slept in my bed. He would cry and howl at the gate until I let him in my bed. But after he got to know me and realized he was safe, he was fine sleeping out in a bed in the living area. He's got great potty manners. He can be playful once in a while. He really likes the company of other dogs. Overall, he has been a great houseguest and is a great dog!' He's fixed, vaccinated, microchipped and up to date on parasite preventatives. He is $92.50 to take home! If you are interested, please call the shelter at (541) 474-5458. You can view more adoptable pets at www.jocoshelter.com/adoptions . Walk-ins are welcome, however we highly recommend calling first to check on availability and location (some animals may be offsite or unavailable). Appointments are recommended to reduce wait times, especially for dogs. Thank you!
