About Gator

Hi, I'm Gator! I'm a 2-year-old, 55-pound Staffordshire Terrier, and I'm what you might call an all-around good boy. I'm easygoing, friendly, and happiest when I'm hanging out with my people. I love treats, I love cuddles, and apparently I have a pretty impressive wiggle when I get excited! I also walk really well on my leash, which means I'm ready to head out for a stroll with you. I've met lots of other dogs since coming to the rescue and have been friendly with everyone I've met. I haven't been reactive with any dogs here at the rescue - but I do need a home without small dogs and without cats. My story had a pretty dramatic beginning. I was just minutes away from being euthanized at a crowded shelter when everything somehow fell into place. The right person happened to be there at exactly the right time, the rescue said yes, and a temporary foster stepped up so I could make it out safely. The stars really did have to align for me. And now that they have, I'm ready for the easy part-the part where I find my forever family. I'm sweet, cuddly, easygoing, and just really happy to be here.
