Meet Bunchie! Hi, I'm Bunchie! I'm a big, super-smart, handsome boy with an adorable natural bobtail. I may have a grumpy-looking face in photos, but don't let that fool you! I squeak when I see people, especially when affection is coming my way. I love blanket time on the floor. You bring the snacks and I'll bring the cuddles, squeaks and an endless appreciation for treats. And I'm incredibly gentle when taking them. I'm quite the character! I come when called, hop when I'm excited, and my little bobtail wags like crazy when I see a ping-pong ball. I may not always bring it back - sometimes I'd prefer watching you toss it - but I take the game very seriously! I also enjoy a good treat puzzle. I'm a self-certified breath inspector. Daily inspections are required! My wet nose goes right to your lips so I can fully investigate. I only give good reviews, but I need to keep track of what you're up to. The home Bunchie is looking for: I'm happiest with someone who is home a lot because I'm affectionate and enjoy lots of cuddle time. I can get a little overstimulated and sometimes enjoy a bit of feisty play, so my new family will need to learn my cues and give me a little space when I've had enough. Most of the time, I'm a pretty lazy player and would much rather lounge, cuddle and enjoy my favorite people. I'm a serial monogamist, so I need to be the only cat in the home. I could potentially handle a large, calm dog who will respect my space. No puppies, barkers or chasers, and no dogs smaller than me. I sometimes underestimate my own size and strength! I would not do well with younger kiddos due to my sometimes feisty playstyle. I must be an indoor-only cat, and I need a family who will be especially careful about doors and windows. I've tempted fate before, but apparently did not learn my lesson. I'm incredibly fast, curious and determined when an opportunity presents itself. So, no doggy doors or open windows, and please be mindful of where I am when coming and going. I'm very smart and can even figure out baby-gate latches and locks! Lounging in the sunshine while lazily watching the birds is one of my favorite pastimes, so I would love an indoor window perch with a bird feeder or bird bath outside where I can spend my days supervising the neighborhood wildlife. I've made wonderful progress in my foster home, and my foster mom has learned a great deal about what helps me thrive. I'm currently doing well with a daily pill that has helped me become more relaxed and comfortable. My new family will need to continue that medication initially, with any future changes made when the time is right. My foster mom knows me very well and will be available to help my new family understand my routine and make the transition as smooth as possible. My foster mom and I are very attached to each other, but she knows I would thrive best in a home where I can be someone's one-and-only. She loves me enough to help me find that perfect match - and I think we both know that person is out there! I celebrated lucky birthday number 7 earlier this year, so I know it's just a matter of time before the perfect match for me comes along! And once I decide you're my person, you're going to have one very happy bobtailed shadow following you around. I'm neutered, rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FIV/FeLV negative and microchipped.
