Name: Owen Age: 10 years Breed: Chihuahua//Heeler mix, 20 pounds Sex: Male (neutered) Location: Gwinnett County, Georgia Sweet Owen needs a new home, he is a tripping hazard to his senior owner. Vet Info: Owen is blind and diabetic. He receives insulin injections twice a day. Owen is not microchipped. Owen is current with his vaccinations and HW-. His last annual exam was in March 2026 and his blindness has developed since then. Dog Info: Owen is an indoor dog with the run of the house. He is house-broken and leash trained. He knows the commands: sit, stay, lay down and shake. He has never had any formal obedience training. Owen is an outgoing boy that is good with men, women and children of all ages. He is good with both male and female dogs. It is unknown how he would be with cats or other small animals because he hasn't been exposed to them. Owen is currently an only dog. Owen is not possessive with treats, toys or food and he has never shown any aggression to any person or animal. Owen adapted well to new surroundings but now that he has lost his vision it will take him a little time to adjust.
