About Opie

Opie is a 2-year-old Weimaraner with a HUGE personality packed into one handsome package! ��%A4%8D Opie is currently working on basic obedience at at Tucker's Point Kennels, where he's making great progress. He's smart, eager to work, and thrives with clear boundaries, structure, and consistency-all things his future family will need to continue at home. One thing Opie is still working on is his relationship with his kennel. He'll happily go in when asked�'�| he's just not entirely convinced he should have to stay there, but wearing a thunder shirt is helping ���� He does eventually settle, but kennel training will need to continue in his new home. Opie can free-roam in the house with some management and supervision. He's a curious young guy-and a certified garbage goblin if temptation presents itself! As his training progresses, he's continuing to learn appropriate boundaries in the home. And then there's his personality�'�| ���� This boy is FUNNY. When Opie wants something, you'll know it. He throws adorable mini tantrums, gives hilarious little howls like he's having an entire conversation with you, and will absolutely keep you laughing. He's also becoming quite the snuggler! Opie loves being a couch dog just as much as he loves heading out on an adventure, so an active home is a must. ��%8F� Opie's ideal home: �'ۢ Only dog �'ۢ No young children �'ۢ Active, structured household �'ۢ Someone committed to continuing his training �'ۢ Cats may be possible with confident, dog-savvy cats; he can get excited and chase, but responds well to 'leave it' Opie isn't a perfect dog-and he isn't looking for a perfect person. He's a young, goofy, smart boy looking for someone willing to give him structure, patience, consistency, adventure, and lots of love.
