About Chance

Breed: Pit bull terrier Age: ~3 years old Weight: 66 pounds Sex: Intact male First date spotted: 8/24 Day of intake: 8/27 Chance was found in Jurupa Valley 92509 by himself with food and water on the floor next to him near a trail. He also had a pack of four coyotes watching him from afar. On the first day, he was very clean and healthy. He seemed to be lost wandering around the area for a few days. Over time, he appeared to get skinnier, dirtier and it was obvious he was not from the area or had a home near by. I took him in for the night and had him picked up by animal control the next day (Negative comments about this will be ignored). When he was resting in my backyard, I was able to look at his ears, eyes, and nails closer. He looked like he was well kept and was not on the streets for very long. Since then, I have been sharing his story to find him a new home. If you are a rescue or a foster who can take him out of the shelter, please go get him before it's too late. He is a very sweet boy. When we were waiting for pick up, he was jumping on me like he wanted affection and was very gentle. He did not bark at me or my cats once neither did he bark or nip at the animal control officer. He was compliant to get into the truck. I wonder why he was left alone He is located at the Riverside County (West) Animal Shelter off of Van Buren Blvd in Jurupa Valley, CA. His intake date was 8/27/2026. I am pleading that someone take this baby out of the shelter and into their arms. What happened to him was not his fault. Please please please give him a chance
